Aidan Blackwood

The work published under Aidan Blackwood is concerned with place, memory, and the slow accumulation of unease. Landscapes are not passive settings but active presences, shaping the lives that move through them.

Much of the writing began in 2021, following the death of my mother. What started as a way of working through absence and grief gradually became something more structured, though the themes have remained consistent.

Influenced by the geography and atmosphere of the Scottish Highlands, the work explores isolation, recurrence, and the uneasy relationship between people and the places they inhabit.
