Blackwood Publishing is an independent imprint for stories that sit with what most people avoid: grief, memory, silence, isolation, and the things that do not stay buried.
Many of these works began as fragments. Places that hold onto what happened there. Moments that do not settle cleanly. Over time, those fragments shift, but they are never entirely left behind.
Based in West Scotland and rooted in the Highlands and beyond, Blackwood Publishing returns again and again to haunted landscapes, listening houses, histories that resist being forgotten, and the uneasy bond between people and the places that remember them.

Atmosphere before explanation.
